About Helix

Folding bikes have always been a compromise — they have small wheels, tiny hinged frames and unconventional geometry. They don't ride well, they are heavy and are awkward to use, but worst of all, they don't actually fold that small.

At Helix, we set out to change all of that.

In 2015, we began working toward a clear vision: a folding bicycle that rides and feels like a full-size performance bike, is lightweight and durable, is safe and easy to use, and folds incredibly small.

The result was a bike that can be ridden hard and fast, handle mixed terrain from city streets to gravel paths, and transitions in seconds into an incredibly small size — folding down to the size of its wheels.

At the heart of Helix is an all-titanium frame. Titanium was chosen because of its exceptional properties: it doesn’t rust, weighs 40% less than steel, resists fatigue better than aluminum, is more durable than carbon fiber and maintains its structural integrity over time — qualities that make a Helix frame a lasting investment.

Made In Canada

Folding bikes are significantly more difficult to manufacture than conventional bikes — they have tight tolerances, folding mechanisms that must be rigid and secure, and complex geometries that require exceptional precision. To meet these challenges, we developed a state of the art manufacturing process that uses laser tube cutting, CNC machining, and robotic welding in a controlled argon environment.

By designing and manufacturing in Canada, we maintain direct oversight of every stage of production — preserving quality, consistency, and long-term support.

Helix redefined what a folding bike can be.
