The pre-production models are nearly done!

We've been working hard over the past 7 weeks and we wanted to update everyone on our progress.

We are currently working on the locking devices and hope to have them completed by the end of next week. Once this very critical component is finalized we will announce our Kickstarter date.

We're taking a little extra time to make sure everything is perfect. We want to thank everyone for their ongoing patience.

We also have our spec carefully picked out. Some of the highlights include TRP Spyre front and rear disc brakes, these were chosen for their compactness, light weight and outstanding design, they are the slimmest cable actuated disc brakes available and they fit perfectly with Helix's slim design.

We're also using a Shimano Zee crankset, shifter and rear derailleur. The Zee crankset is a perfect fit for Helix since it is a high quality single chainring crankset that fits the unique drivetrain requirements that make Helix possible.

Helix will come with a Shimano Zee rear hub with a 12mm thru axle for single speed and 10 speed, or a Shimano Alfine 8 or 11 speed internal gear hub. The rear hub spacing is 135mm for the most flexibility in drivetrain options. Our complete spec is posted here.

As you may know, Helix will be available in three specs, a single speed, 10 speed derailleur and 8 or 11 speed internal gear hub. Kickstarter pre-order pricing is as follows: single speed: $1200, 10 speed derailleur: $1300, 8 speed Alfine: $1500, 11 speed Alfine: $1700 (all prices in USD).

We also now have a manufacturing partner confirmed that will be helping us set up our manufacturing facility in Toronto. They are very experienced in all processes that are required to manufacture Helix. We are confident that we can scale up production with their partnership.

We have previously mentioned that we will deliver in July, however based on the response we've had to Helix, it is unlikely that we will be able to meet demand in such a short time frame. We'll announce a firm delivery date soon, we are estimating closer to September 2015.

We'll be posting regular updates from here on, we do apologize for the long delay in recent updates; we've been intensely focused on building our pre-production models and we're just finally at the end of this exciting but difficult process.

We've been so thankful for the unbelievable response we've had to Helix, we've had thousands of emails from people all around the world. We're elated to hear from you and we're doing our best to get back to everyone. Please expect some delays however as we're gearing up for Kickstarter and manufacturing. We're always updating our FAQ, so please refer to it for the most commonly asked questions.

Stay tuned, we'll be posting some preview shots of our exceptional titanium frames & much more to come.

Thank you for your support!
